• Avoid contact with blood and body fluids.
Treat all body fluids as though they are infectious.
• Don’t share personal items
• Avoid funeral or burial rituals that require touching the dead body
• Avoid contact with bats and non-human primates and their blood and fluids
• Do not touch the items that may have come in contact with Ebola virus infected person’s blood or body fluids
•Always avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

Kill the infection out of the body
 
Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer (Rub hands together covering all surfaces of hands and fingers)
• before preparing food,before eating
• before treating wounds or giving medicine
• before and after touching a sick or injured person,
• before inserting or removing contact lenses
• after using the toilet, changing a diaper
• after touching an animal or animal toys
• after leashes or waste
• after coughing or sneezing into your hands,
• after touching something that could be contaminated
 
Stay informed
• After the possible contact monitor your health for 21 days and seek medical care immediately if you develop any symptoms ( fever (temperature of 100.4°F/38°C† or higher), severe headaches, muscle pain, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, unexplained bleeding or bruising.)
• Before visiting a health care provider, alert the clinic or emergency room in advance about your possible exposure to Ebola
• After the possible contact limit your contact with other people, avoid public transportation, and avoid all other travel until you have been medically evaluated.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
